Joseph E. Ryan, MBA, is a graduate of Western New England College and holds a masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree from Westfield State College. Joe joined United Bank in 2002.

 
He is a lifelong resident of Western Massachusetts, born in Westfield, and currently resides in Chicopee. Joe brings more than 25 years of experience in financial planning to our United Wealth Management Group.
 
The most recent experience prior to joining us was with TD Bank (formerly SIS Bank and Banknorth).He started the bank’s first insurance program in 1997 as their Annuity Specialist and in 1999 became a full service Series 7 (General Securities Representative) licensed Registered Representative in their combined investment and insurance program where he worked until he joined United Bank.
 
Prior, Joe worked for the Prudential Insurance Company of America in the West Springfield office from 1990 until 1997 as a life insurance agent and Investment Advisor Representative.    
 
Joe started his financial services career in Westfield for the Woronoco Savings Bank, now Berkshire Bank, where he was an officer and corporator of the bank. In his seven years of employment, he held many bank positions. 
 
Over the years Joe has earned innumerable Outstanding Performance, Customer Service,New Business Development and Business Persistency Awards from each of his employers for his demonstrated excellence in financial planning and superior client service abilities.  He is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with NFP Securities, Inc.
 
Based out of the United Wealth Management Group’s Holyoke Office, conveniently located off I-91 on 1830 Northampton Street, Joe provides clients with a broad range of insurance and investment products ranging from life to long term care insurance, fixed, immediate income and variable annuities, mutual funds and managed investment accounts for individuals and employers to include retirement plans as well as executive benefits and pension plans for businesses.  
 
In addition to being a Master Mason with the Elm-Belcher Lodge in Agawam and a Shriner with membership at the Melha Shrine in Springfield, Joe also donate time monthly to the Gateway Education Foundation in Huntington, where he is an incorporator and board member.
 
Joe’s personal philosophy is “People do not plan to fail, we fail to plan.”
