- Do not share your personal or sensitive information. People's United Bank will never make or send unsolicited calls, texts or emails asking you to provide, verify, or update passwords, usernames, debit/ATM card PINs or security codes, or account information such as Social Security number, Account Number, Card Number or other personal information.

COVID-19 Community Support
People’s United Bank and our charitable foundations have been closely monitoring ongoing developments of COVID-19, and its impact on our local communities. We are working diligently to ensure we remain a strong philanthropic partner and actively engage in discussions with our community and banking partners, and government officials, to understand the role of philanthropy in responding.
Targeting $3 million to COVID-19 Support
In response to the impact of COVID-19 on our communities, People’s United Bank and our two charitable foundations are actively providing support to COVID-19 relief efforts, with an anticipated target of collectively allocating more than $3 million in funding.
Support efforts include:
- COVID-19 Relief Funds - Monetary support to collaborative COVID-19 Relief Funds, to address the impact COVID-19 is having on our communities as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Accelerating Grant Payments - Our Foundations are working to expedite grants to our nonprofit partners that are on the frontlines to help provide funding for their most urgent needs.
- General Operating Support - For nonprofits applying to our Foundations, we are lifting programming and project restrictions. We are also converting previously awarded program funding to a general operating grant to address the most urgent needs and challenges.
- Flexible Requirements - Foundation grantees will not be required to provide periodic pending progress updates. We will be flexible with deadlines for reports and other requirements to ease burdens on our grantees and allow for a more relevant and responsive approach to our grant-making process
- Ongoing Support - We will continue to explore opportunities where we can have an effective impact in responding to the coronavirus to meet the needs of our communities as the situation evolves.
